The Mahjong Tally toolkit

A different tool for every table moment.

From checking a winning hand to asking what to discard, here is what each feature does — and when you’ll use it.

Mahjong Check

A winning hand. A score everyone can follow.

The host’s scoring workflow, from declared Mahjong to shared player totals. A clear breakdown beats four different answers.

  • Choose the declared winner and enter the hand. Camera scanning is available on eligible plans.
  • Confirm self-pick or discard, concealed or exposed sets, closing status and other table facts.
  • Review each scoring pattern and the points it contributes.
  • Eligible plans can save the confirmed hand to History and update everyone’s points together.

AI Tile Scan

Currently in beta

Point the camera. Then check the tiles.

Use the camera or a gallery photo to identify the tiles in a hand, including Flowers and Gongs. Less tapping, more playing.

  • Take a clear photo or choose one from your gallery.
  • AI identifies the tiles and builds an editable rack.
  • Review every detected tile and correct anything it missed.
  • Manual entry is available as a reliable fallback.

Hand Suggestions

Find a direction for the hand you have.

Compare possible scoring routes, including special hands, and see which tiles fit each direction. It is a second opinion, not a crystal ball.

  • Enter your rack and choose balanced play, a quicker finish or a higher-value hand.
  • Compare route fit, target points and suggested next moves.
  • Explore which tiles to keep or discard and why.
  • Ask Mahjong AI a follow-up if your plan includes AI messages.

How does a Chicken Hand score?
Mahjong AI Helper

Under LRC September 2026, a Chicken Hand replaces a one-point hand with 20 points, before the base and applicable Dealer bonuses.

There is no 20-point minimum for other valid Mahjong hands.

AI Game Editor

Say what happened. Review the change.

Describe a scoring event in plain English. The editor proposes a supported point change that the host can check and confirm.

  • Describe a Gong, chasing tile, penalty or point correction.
  • For example: “South declared a false Mahjong.”
  • Review the proposed event and each player’s point change.
  • Confirm the change before it affects the table. Hosts only.

Private Tables & Game Management

One table. A whole night kept together.

Create a private game, bring in your players and keep the history attached to the table. Paper can take the evening off.

  • Create a private table and assign seats.
  • Review recorded rounds, point changes and player standings.
  • Eligible hosts can correct scores and undo recorded mistakes.
  • Record immediate events—Gardens, declared Concealed Gong collections, chasing tiles, draw-pool contributions and penalties—separately from winning-hand rows.
  • Guest and invitation access depends on your plan.
